The Aerosol and Dispensing Forum (ADF) will recognise ArcelorMittal with an award for the development of a new BPA-NI (Bisphenol A Non-Intended) lacquered steel which can be used for the mounting cups of aerosol containers. You can view the new solution at the ArcelorMittal Europe stand (W29) during both days of the show.
ArcelorMittal’s BPA-free solution was created as part of a project to develop a pre-lacquered steel which uses BPA-NI lacquers instead of epoxy-phenolic lacquers. The new pre-coated steel passed all qualification tests and millions of mounting cups have already been made from the new grade.
During the ADF forum, ArcelorMittal will also present a paper on ‘ArcelorMittal’s value proposition for sustainable aerosol steel packaging’. The Aerosol and Dispensing Forum is one of the first in-person packaging fairs to be held since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. ADF attracts leading figures from the European packaging industry and will feature some of the latest innovations available including ArcelorMittal’s BPA-free aerosol mounting cup.
