APEAL presents its “White book” for steel recycling best practices across Europe
April 11, 2018 - Brussels (Belgium)
APEAL, the Association of European Producers of Steel for Packaging, is holding a conference in Brussels called “Steel for Packaging, a Pioneer of Circular Economy”.
A full day conference featuring high level speakers like Stéphane Tondo, ArcelorMittal’s CMO Packaging and Energy, addressing key stakeholders of the Industry, as the President of APEAL.
The focus lies on the role of steel packaging recycling in the transition towards a more circular economy in Europe and on how EU members states can work together to achieve higher recycling targets.
At the conference the new report “Good practices in collection, sorting and recycling of steel for packaging” is being released.
The report is built on a large data collection exercise conducted amongst European members and showcases a broad variety of projects, systems and processes by which steel packaging is recycled across European countries.
